Job Title: Transport Operations Manager
Location: Oldham
Salary: £45-50k

My client, a leading luxury manufacturing business based in Oldham, are looking for an experienced Transport Operations Manager to lead their busy team. This is a really 'hands on' role and is integral to the customer experience. You will be responsible for leading the direction, coordination and implementation of all transport, logistics and goods movement matters.

Responsibilities include:
- Taking the lead in planning, costing and allocating routes/vehicles in order to meet the needs of the customers
- Managing & developing the team of drivers and fostering a culture of high quality service to customers, ensuring that staff deliver the luxury service required
- Ensuring that all vehicles are in compliance with all legal requirements, regulations and requirements.
- Overseeing all yard operations and ensuring all is running smoothly, taking the lead in resolving unexpected problems
- Being accountable for the Operator's License
- Enforcing strict Health and Safety standards

My client is looking for someone that is CPC qualified and has proven experience managing a team. It is also imperative you posses strong communication, leadership & decision making skills. You will demonstrate experience managing all transport activities, including negotiation of fleet costs, developing fulfilment relationships and have a strong understanding of climate change issues in order to implement transport strategies.
