Technical Manager Key Responsibilities
- Technical Expertise - Provide specialist guidance on food safety, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and BRCGS standards.
- Quality Management - Oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) and HACCP plans, ensuring the highest standards are met.
- Audits & Compliance - Manage technical audits, including GMP audits, and contribute to the continuous improvement of site standards.
- Problem-Solving - Lead investigations, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Collaboration - Work closely with Sales and NPD Teams to meet product specifications within agreed timeframes.
- Leadership - Lead the HACCP Team and contribute to the wider management team.

Technical Manager Skills and Experience
- Essential Experience - Minimum 3 years in a Technical Management role within food manufacturing.
- Expertise - Strong technical background, supported by a relevant food science degree and HACCP Level 4 qualification.
- Leadership - Proven ability to engage, develop, and motivate teams.
- Customer-Focused - Committed to maintaining high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.
- Communication - Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills at all levels.
- Attention to Detail - Strong organisational skills with a methodical approach to compliance and documentation.
- IT Proficiency - Confident using Microsoft Word and Excel.
