SF Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity recruiting for a one of our long standing clients based in Nottingham who are looking to appoint a Senior Buyer to their Supply Chain team. You will be responsible for owning and managing relations with key suppliers for indirect and services procurement. You will be working closely with the Supply Chain Manager to support on analysing supplier contracts to negotiate additional value and favourable commercials on behalf of the business. This role would pro-actively manage and mitigate any risk associated with supplier relations to ensure the continuation of service.

To be considered for this role it is essential you have previous Procurement experience . It is essential you are confident negotiating with suppliers, data analysis and contract management.
Scope of role
o Analyse suppliers spend data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings.
o Provide data-driven recommendations to improve procurement processes, and logistics operations using non-conformance data.
o Focus on lower spend suppliers to provide recommendation into Supply Chain Manager regarding rationalisation and potential off boarding.
o Support with assessing supplier performance using key metrics like lead times, costs, and quality and other agreed KPIs.
o Work with the Supply Chain Manager to negotiate better terms and streamline supplier relationships.
o Support the Supply Chain Manager to look for opportunities for supplier consolidation.
o Build a contract database to manage all recurring internal spend and work with the relevant departments to support purchase cycles.
o Support with managing contracts and helping to reduce costs against all key internal suppliers.
o Evaluate current services supplier base and make recommendations for core supplier selection.
o Support the Supply Chain Manager to negotiate better terms against current contracts and upcoming purchases.
o Supporting with the selection of new suppliers and vendors to support Sales activity.


The Senior Buyer
- Experienced within Purchasing/Procurement
- 4+ years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or procurement.
- An analytical mind with strong attention to detail
- Excellent Communication and Relationships building skills
- Positive and flexible approach
- Excellent MS Excel skills
