SF Recruitment are working with a leading fabrications business in the Coventry area to recruit a Project Delivery & Internal Sales Manager. Global Business who supply into secure industries, the role plays a lead role in an exciting time of further growth & change for the company. 

Role Purpose:
To coordinate and deliver projects, engineering services, and offsite fabrication while supporting internal sales teams. Ensure successful execution of these elements to maximize customer satisfaction.

Key Objectives:

  • Oversee the coordination and delivery of multiple projects in collaboration with project engineers.
  • Drive project execution and ensure alignment with customer expectations, timelines, and budgets.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Monitor, review, and update project progress regularly.
  • Provide consistent customer communication and progress reporting.
  • Manage customer expectations and address issues promptly.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and OSM fabrication teams to ensure seamless project delivery, including adjustments to plans and corrective actions when necessary.
  • Resolve post-sale and delivery issues efficiently.
  • Provide data to support demand planning and forecasting for orders and quotes.
  • Coordinate with scheduling, stock control, warehouse, production, and transport teams to ensure timely and quality project delivery.

Internal Sales:

  • Develop and manage internal sales processes, including responding to inquiries, preparing quotes, and managing customer accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Engineering Services Manager and internal sales teams to prioritize tasks and resolve technical project aspects.

Team Leadership:

  • Provide line management support to the project office department.
  • Identify required resources and assign individual responsibilities.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, up-to-date, and properly stored.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing for completed projects.

Customer Engagement:

  • Conduct customer visits as needed.
  • Travel overseas when required to support project and sales activities.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead initiatives to improve project delivery efficiency and internal sales performance.
  • Train staff as needed to enhance team capabilities.

Other Duties:

  • Demonstrate flexibility and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Support other company activities and responsibilities as required.

Communication:

  • Engage with customers, distribution partners, and major users.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across scheduling, stock control, warehouse, production, transport, and outside sales staff to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maintain strong communication with departmental managers, functional heads, and directors.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other computer software.

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in project delivery.
  • Strong commercial awareness.

Desirable Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of SAP.
  • Experience in process improvement and technical operations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Access, and SAP.
  • Relevant industry experience.
