SF Recruitment are currently working with our Staffordshire based client in the recruitment of a Financial Controller. Reporting to an exceptional Finance Director and with heavy commercial involvement in the day to day of the business.

This role is ideally suited to a qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) candidate with experience of working with a manufacturing business.

With responsibility for the management of the accounting function across our clients group this Financial Controller role is broad with plenty of opportunity to add value, develop and improve processes.

Key responsibilities:
- Management of consolidated monthly accounts for the board, senior execs and banks
- Monthly group forecasting
- Manage the year end Budget
- Analysis and scenario planning
- Monitoring financial performance of the Group, providing analysis and commentaries
- Reporting and variance analysis
- Year end statutory accounts and taxation process, including liaison with the external auditors and tax advisors 
- Support mergers and acquisition activity including preparation of business cases, and integration of acquired entities
- To oversee and deliver process improvement activities
- Prepare and submit HMRC returns (PAYE & VAT) for the Group

Our client is seeking a qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/Equivalent) with exceptional ability to lead and develop a team and who can be relied upon to take responsibility for day-to-day finance matters and finance operations.

This is an urgent requirement and requires a candidate in position before the end of January. For the right candidate my client will also consider a temporary to permanent offer.
