HR Officer

SF Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a medical business based in Birmingham. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Officer to join an organisation where they put their people at the heart of everything they do. This role will be on a temporary basis. It is a really exciting time to join as they have many improvement projects to work on which will further enhance your HR knowledge and experience.

The successful candidate will be supported by an amazing mentor who has been with the business many years and still loves every day she is there. You will ideally be CIPD qualified or working towards your CIPD qualification.

Hours: 37.5 per week (flexible between 08:00 - 18:00) SITE BASED ROLE
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Duties:-
- Provide first line advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures
- Management of long term and short term absence
- Employee relations casework management processes including disciplinaries, grievances, bullying and harassment, performance and attendance.
- Provide recruitment advice and support
- Preparation of job descriptions and advertising vacancies
- Involvement in HR related projects

Required
- Previous HR experience essential
- CIPD qualified or working towards - essential
- The hunger to learn and succeed
- Excellent communication skills
- Be forthcoming with ideas for improvements in order to streamline processes
