This is an exciting opportunity to join the leadership function of a leading player in the industry, with a strong market presence and high product demand.
You will take on a high-profile role, overseeing 2x UK entities (net t/o c.£55m) of a wider, high-performing Group, working closely with key stakeholders in the UK and overseas to drive financial performance and support strategic decision making which in turn will play a significant part in sculpting the future of the business and driving profitability.
About the role:
As Head of Finance – UK, you will:
- Be key ally to various senior stakeholders within UK operations, notably the GM, providing insight from a financial standpoint and steering key decision making discussions.
- Take responsibility of an established team of 4 in UK finance.
- Act as a key member of the local leadership team, providing input into strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
- Provide sound commercial insight into growth initiatives and performance improvement measures.
- Monitor and improve P&L and balance sheet performance, with a focus on commercial profitability, overheads, and recurring cash flow.
- Support commercial decision-making and negotiations for high profile matters from both a customer and supplier perspective.
- Play a key role in sales and operational planning process by providing detailed financial analysis.
- Ensure a high-performance culture within operations, analysing and addressing variances under standard costing.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including Group reporting (including future insights to drive performance improvement).
- Work closely with Group and wider UK teams, particularly in relation to an upcoming ERP implementation (SAP).
About you:
- Applications from both qualified accountants (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) and QBE accountants are welcomed with relevant experience
- Sound commercial and financial acumen with excellent business partnering skillset and demonstrable experience in driving profitability and financial performance oversight
- Strong analytical mindset with a future oriented approach to challenge identification and implementation of measures to enhance and drive performance and profitability
- Excellent leadership skills, able to support and influence at all levels
- Strong communication skills at all hierarchical levels, both finance and non-finance
- SAP experience is required, and ideally some prior ERP implementation experience

- Salary – up to £80,000 depending on experience
- Car allowance in excess of £10,000 p/a
