SF Recruitment are pleased to share we are working exclusively with a business in South Derby to recruit for a Finance Assistant, on a permanent full time basis. This role is ideal for a candidate who is studying or has completed AAT studies, as this is essential to this business. You will work as an effective member of the finance department, working on both supplier and customer invoicing. You will have access to hybrid working, two days per week.

Your day to day will include:

- To review, process and reconcile purchase invoices ensuring compliance with regular procedures and maintaining up to date records.
- Manage shared mailboxes, ensuring all queries are resolved in a timely manner while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve invoice queries from clients promptly, ensuring clear communication throughout.
- Research, review and undertake any training necessary to maintain compliance with HMRC in relation to our expense processes.
- To assist in completions of period end processes in a timely manner
- To undertake general administration duties and any other reasonable requests that may be required to meet the needs of the business
- To develop working knowledge and understanding of the duties of other members of the finance team to ensure cover can be provided for annual leave or other absence
- To support with month-end billing and supplier invoice reconciliations
- To work effectively within a dynamic environment, and to assist in driving a continuous improvement culture.
- To keep accurate, well-organised records of activity (including in relation to quality matters), in line with company requirements, at all times
