SF Recruitment have partnered with an organisation in Aston, Birmingham, who are recruiting a BDM on a 6 month contract basis. This role has the opportunity to go permanent, and offers hybrid working.

Candidates MUST have experience in selling to SME's.

Salary: up to £40,000
Working pattern: hybrid 3 days on site 2 from home

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing business opportunities with small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The focus is on selling to C-suite executives (CEOs, CFOs, COOs, etc.). The ideal candidate will possess strong sales acumen, a strategic mindset, and the ability to build relationships with decision-makers at the executive level.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Prospecting:

Research and identify potential small business clients across industries.
Use various lead generation tools and techniques (cold calling, email campaigns, networking) to build a pipeline of qualified opportunities.

Engagement with C-Suite:

Build and maintain relationships with C-suite executives and key decision-makers in target businesses.
Understand the pain points and needs of these decision-makers, and tailor pitches and solutions to their priorities.

Sales Strategy & Planning:

Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals with senior management and executives.
Use consultative selling techniques to position products or services as solutions to business problems.

Client Relationship Management:

Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing.
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by maintaining contact post-sale to ensure seamless implementation and potential upsell opportunities.

Market & Industry Analysis:

Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and changes in the business environment that may affect sales opportunities.
Provide market feedback to the product development and marketing teams to ensure offerings are aligned with client needs.
