Overview
This role sits within the Repairs Team at the Service Support Centre and reports directly to the Service Centre Manager. The main purpose of this role is to maintain, repair and test mechanical and electronic parts within the Repair department along with accurately and efficiently recording the repairs analysis in the Repair Database.
Main duties and responsibilities include
- Responsible for efficiently and accurately repairing Mechanical and Electronic Parts returned by customers as faulty.
- Responsible for accurately testing and updating Parts for Customer Orders prior to despatch.
- Responsible for communicating clearly and efficiently with the team leader and Manager on assigned tasks regarding the daily repair schedule.
- Responsible for overseeing accurate recording of repair analysis of parts in the Repairs Database
- Responsible for communicating effectively and efficiently with the Repairs Team on daily objectives and schedule.
- Responsible for ensuring individual workstation and repairs department is kept clean and all tools and equipment are stored in the correct location.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience as an electronic technician or similar role.
- To succeed in this role an Electronic or Mechanical Qualification would be beneficial.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Familiarity working with various handheld / electronic tools and equipment including a Solder Station and Multimeter.
- Excellent attention to detail is essential when carrying out fault finding and repair tasks.
- Experience using computer systems and data entry.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office desirable.
- The ability to learn new systems quickly.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure whilst meeting set deadlines and always maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills are essential along with the ability and desire to go 'above and beyond'.
- Commitment, a strong work ethic and a 'can do' attitude is essential.
- Flexibility and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team is essential.
