SF Recruitment Sponsors Polaris Community with Apprenticeship Levy Fund Donation to Support Care-Experienced Children

16 January 2025 – SF Recruitment is proud to reaffirm its commitment to supporting the community by sponsoring Polaris Community, a leading organisation providing fostering, adoption, and residential care services for vulnerable children and young people. Through a transfer of its apprenticeship levy funds, SF Recruitment is enabling Polaris to further its mission of transforming lives.

This sponsorship will fund apprenticeships for two dedicated individuals working in Polaris’s fostering setting. The funding will support two apprentices on the Level 6 Social Worker Integrated Degree Programme . These apprentices will play a vital role in supporting care-experienced children and young people, providing stability, care, and opportunities for brighter futures.

Kirstine Archer, Chief Financial Officer at SF Recruitment, said: “As a business that values community impact, we’re thrilled to support Polaris Community in their vital work. By sponsoring apprenticeships through our levy fund, we can ensure these dedicated professionals have the skills and knowledge to make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable children. It’s a privilege to partner with an organisation whose mission aligns so closely with our own values.”

Polaris Community is at the forefront of care and support for children and young people, with over 129 apprentices already in place and another 72 currently enrolling. These apprentices contribute to critical services, from providing compassionate care in residential homes to supporting foster families and local authorities with child protection and care planning.

Clare Makepeace, Apprenticeship Service Manager at Polaris Community, commented: “We are deeply grateful to SF Recruitment for their generosity and belief in our work. Apprenticeships are central to building a skilled and compassionate workforce capable of meeting the unique needs of care-experienced children and young people. This funding will help us continue to deliver the highest standard of care and support for the young people who rely on us.”

This sponsorship reflects SF Recruitment’s ongoing dedication to purposeful action and meaningful contributions to the community. By transferring unused apprenticeship levy funds to Polaris Community, SF Recruitment is not only maximising the impact of its resources but also strengthening its ethos of being human, collaborative, and insightful in everything it does.
